Kate is an experienced media professional who offers media relations advice and coaching to organisations in the public, private and third sector.  Private sector coaching experience includes manufacturing, service sector and professional services.

Career in brief…

Kate is able to help clients communicate better – whether with the media or with an audience.  She is a media “insider” with more than 20 years’ experience as a journalist in radio, TV and newspapers.  She has made features for BBC Radio 4 and taught print and broadcast journalism at the University of Sheffield.

For the last 8 years she has helped individuals and organisations, through offering PR advice, media interview technique and presentation skills training.  She specialises in crisis media management and has advised on several high profile local and national cases.  She is a trainer on crisis communications for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and for the Cabinet Office’s Emergency Planning College, where she trains communications professionals in reputation management.
